Master Teaching Tests
Do you need to take a test? Don’t panic. We’ll help.
Do I need a degree in Education?
A: Nope! For almost all teaching positions, you want a degree or lots of coursework in your specific teaching subject. That means a degree in math to teach math, a degree in science to teach science, and so on. For some teaching areas, such as special education or early childhood education, you may major or minor in Education, but this will depend on your teaching program. A TEACH advisor can walk you through this (for FREE).
Can I earn my teaching license online?
A: If you prefer online learning or need flexible options to work with your schedule, you’ll have several options, including some online coursework. Some teaching programs offer all coursework online, and this can work great if you already have experience working with kids. Eventually, you’ll need in-person experience in the classroom, and most programs will require this before you finish up.
