If you enjoy working with young children—from infants to third graders—and want to make a positive impact, Northern’s Early Childhood Education program is an excellent choice for you. This program helps you develop the skills needed to support children’s learning and development from age three through third grade. It begins with foundational coursework and progresses to more advanced studies. The unique stackable AA to BA pathway allows you to smoothly transition from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree without repeating courses.

Accredited by the New Mexico Public Education Department and the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation, this program prepares you to earn your New Mexico teaching license in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K through grade 3).
