The University of the Southwest (USW) is a private, Christian non-profit university in Hobbs, New Mexico. USW offers on-campus and online undergraduate and graduate degrees, emphasizing faith, servant leadership and academic excellence. Recognized by U.S. News & World Report for its top online programs, USW fosters a close-knit, student-focused community where learners grow academically, professionally and spiritually.
USW’s College of Education prepares future teachers through six undergraduate and 14 graduate programs accredited by the New Mexico Public Education Department. You will gain career-ready skills through hands-on experience and expert mentorship. Programs are available in:
